Welcome to My Artful Kitchen
For me, cooking has always been more than just preparing meals—it’s a creative outlet, much like painting. The kitchen is where flavors, memories, and inspiration come together, and every beloved tradition or new experiment becomes its own little masterpiece. When I feel stuck creatively in my studio, I often turn to cooking—it has a way of reigniting inspiration and bringing a sense of flow back into my day.
I am excited to share some of my tried-and-true family recipes—meals that bring people together around the table. Here, you’ll find a rotating selection of a complete meal, including a main dish, side, bread, and dessert. These recipes are some of my family's favorites—some are my own creations, while others have been passed down through generations and perfected over time—but all are enjoyed by both adults and children alike.
Right now, I’m sharing comforting Cabbage Rolls, declicious Focaccia Bread, savory Parmesan Spinach Bites, and rich, decadent Flourless Chocolate Cake. This meal is great paired with a good Chianiti.
Be sure to check back often for new recipes as I continue to rotate in more of our family’s favorite dishes!

Stuffed Cabbage
This recipe is an old family favorite that has not changed much— you just can’t improve on perfection! Satisfying, healthy, and packed with flavor, these cabbage rolls are the ultimate comfort food. Tender cabbage leaves wrap around a savory, seasoned meat and rice filling, then simmer in rich tomatoes until perfectly cooked.
I served this at an event at my art gallery, and it was a huge hit—so many people asked for the recipe! It’s a dish that never disappoints.
Parmesan Spinach Bites
Parmesan Spinach Bites are a savory, buttery twist on my grandmother’s classic spinach and egg recipe—perfect for parties, gatherings, or anytime you need a flavorful bite-sized appetizer. These crispy, golden-brown spinach bites are packed with parmesan, seasoned croissant crumbs, and a touch of spice for just the right amount of kick.
Baked until firm and lightly crisp on the outside, they are an easy, make-ahead option that guests love. The combination of spinach, rich butter, bacon fat, and warm seasonings creates a deep, satisfying flavor, while the croissant coating gives them a light, flaky crunch.
Serve them warm for the best texture, and watch them disappear quickly! Makes about 30 bites—though you may want to double the batch!
Focaccia Bread
Focaccia bread is one of my favorite things to bake—it’s simple, versatile, and always a hit. One of the best compliments I’ve ever received came from an employee who tried it when I brought some to the office for lunch. She told me, ‘This tastes just like my grandmother’s bread!', and her grandmother still lives in Italy. :) She loved it so much that she often requested that I make it again, with a preference for whole olives.
I hope you enjoy this as much as we all do!
Flourless Chocolate Cake
Flourless chocolate cake is one of my absolute favorites—rich, decadent, and perfect for any chocolate lover. For those who are sensitive to gluten, it’s also a great option, as it’s made without any flour. This recipe combines Ghirardelli or Dove dark chocolate (I highly recommend Dove!), Dutch dark chocolate cocoa powder, and a touch of espresso for that perfect balance of deep, rich flavor. To finish, it’s topped with a velvety ganache, adding the ultimate touch of indulgence. It’s a simple yet show-stopping dessert that never fails to impress!
